First Time We Meet
May 2024Bayo and I met at a Calgary event right after I finished a med school licensing exam. Nervous and needing to blow off steam, I hit the dance floor with my sister. He was at the bar with friends, and I caught him watching me dance. Eventually he couldn't resist joining me—turns out he's got moves (or maybe I brought them out!). By night's end he had my number, and the rest is history.
Our First Date
July 2024Our first date was packed: a bike race, breakfast, then a board-game lounge where I dominated, winning 5 out of 6 games 😉. After lunch at a downtown spot loaded with arcade games (where he got his redemption 🙃), we drove to his favorite place—Nose Hill Park. The view of the city was breathtaking. We wrapped up watching the city lights and Canada Day fireworks. Perfect day.
She Said Yes!
December 2025After 4 months of secret planning, I was ready to ask the magic question. I enlisted her sister and brother-in-law to trick her to Banff under the pretense of an office Christmas event—she almost didn't come. Once there, her brother-in-law convinced her to take couple of pictures on the frozen lake, where I was waiting at the center. I snuck up behind her while she was posing, and when she turned around, the shock and joy on her face was everything. I nervously ran through the speech I had prepared before getting down on one knee to say those magical words "Will you marry me?" She said...
